REPORT ON WEBINAR
The Student Council of Gurushree Shantivijai Jain College for Women organized a National Level Webinar entitled “Effective Communication Skills” on 17th July 2020. It is a live session on Facebook stream and Youtube link. The guest speaker was Ms. Deepika Gahlot, Sr HR professional and Co-founder- people development Club.
Around 100 participants attended this webinar and benefitted. The participants are provided with e-certificates.
ONLNE QUIZ
The Student Council of Guru shree Shantivijai Jain college for Women organized an Online Quiz from 07th to 11th August 2020 on “General Affairs” for UG and PG students.Students from various places like Coimbatore,Thirunelveli, Karaikudi, Tuticorin, Vellore, Erode, Thindugal, Pollachi, Nagarkovil, Trichy from Tamilnadu and various states like karnataka ,Maharashtra, Kerela, West Bengal etc have participated. Nearly 416 students have participated in this Online Quiz. Students secured fifty percentage and above was provided with E-Certficate.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The Student Council of Guru shree Shantivijai Jain college for Women organized an Independence Day Celebration from 15/08/20 To 22/08/20 with the events Art on the topic “Covid warriors of India” and Elocution on the topic “Indianism.Nearly 100 students enthusiastically participated in all the Online events
MADRAS WEEK CELEBRATION
The Student Council of Gurushree Shantivijai Jain college for Women organized Madras week celebration from 19th to 23rd August 2020. Many Online events like Multimedia presentation with the topic ”Heritage of Chennai” , Snapshot with the title “Namma Madras”.The Rhyme contest with the title “Economic, Legal and Social Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic” and the online quiz about “Madras” were organized. Nearly 100 students enthusiastically participated in all the Online events and e-quiz .
NON VIOLENCE DAY
The Student Council of Gurushree Shantivijai Jain college for Women organized an Essay Competition on the topic “Mahatma Gandhi views on Women and Social changes” for celebrating the Non violence day on 2nd October 2020.The International Day of Non-Violence is observed on 2nd October, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement and pioneer of the philosophy and strategy of non-violence. Nearly 60 students have actively participated in this Essay Competition and benefited.
YOUTH AWAKENING DAY
The Student Council of Gurushree Shantivijai Jain college for Women organized an Essay Competition on the topic “ROLE OF YOUTH IN REALIZING THE DREAMS OF DR.A.P.J ABDUL KALAM” and speech on the topic “ DOES A.P.J ABDUL KALAMS DREAM FULFILLED OR NOT?” in both English and Tamil language for celebrating the Youth Awakening day on 15th October 2020. In remembrance of the missile man who aroused the pulse of the youth through his magnificent life and speech and the Former President, Late Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalams birthday was celebrating as “Youth Awakening day”. Nearly 100 students have actively participated in these events and benefited.
NRITHYA
The Student Council of Guru Shree Shanti Vijai Jain College for Women hosted Nrithya 2020, an Online Open Cultural Fiesta, Celebrating Navaratri Festival. Nrithya 2020, had Six different Events,Listing, 1. Slogan Writing, 2. Rangoli, 3. Bhajan, 4. Selfie with Golu, 5. My Golu Story, 6. Cooking for Festival. This Cultural Fiesta official commemced on 18th of October and was Open till 26th of October. We had great response with over 80 registrations from various colleges for different events. To conclude, Nrithya 2020 had a wonderful response and participation all around, and an overwhelming contribution from the GSSJC freshers.
WEBINAR ON 26/11/2020
The Student Council of Gurushree Shantivijai Jain college for Women in association with GSS Rotaract Club organized a Webinar on 26th November 2020 on the topic “Leadership and change in time of Covid-19” in Google Meet Platform.The event was graced by the presence of Rotarian P.P.Anbarasu, DRR, Rotary club of Green Galaxy as chief guest.In his address he briefly explained the Leadership Qualities like Honesty and integrity, Confidence, Inspire Others, Commitment and Passion, Good Communicator, Decision Making , Capabilities, Accountability, Delegation and Empowerment , Creativity and Innovation, Emotional Intelligence, Humility and Transparency. He also explained about an innovative leader is not a creative genius with thought-provoking ideas but gives others the freedom to develop their ideas. He concluded with the self-confidence is found abundantly amidst true leaders; hence they know about their competencies and leadership qualities. Around 120 students actively participated and get benefited.
