Rotaract Club

The  Rotaract Club of Gurushree Shantivijai Jain college for Women organized an installation ceremony  on 15th August 2020 on Zoom platform.The event was graced by the presence of  Rotarian Kapil Chitale, President, Rotary club of Madras as chief guest.In  his address  he briefly explained  the importance of Rotaract movement, and congratulated the new office bearers and members.Our Guest of Honour Rtn.Balaji chinni ,Youth service director, Rotary club of Madras, graced the occasion, gave a brief account on the importance of being socially active and told the students how Rotary and Rotaract came into being.

Special invitee was Rtn.Parkavi, Rotaract chairman, Rotary Club of Madras said that ROTARACT CLUB of GSS JAIN COLLEGE has been doing many social activities. She appreciated the present and past members of the club for their eternal support to the Rotary movement and was thankful to them.The new board members are  installed by pinning badges .The outgoing president handed over the collar and charter  to the new Rotaract president.The new president of GSS Rotaract club Ms.Sindhu III B.Com A&F(Shift II) gave her acceptance speech.GSS Rotaract club student secretary.Ms.J.Manjari,III BBA delivered the vote of thanks.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM

GSS Rotaract Club organized an orientation program on 31st October 2020. The event was graced by the presence of  Rtn.Girish.E , PDRR, Rotary club of East Coast. .In  his address  he briefly explained  the importance of Rotaract movement .Around 120  students actively participated and get benefited.

WEBINAR ON 26/11/2020

GSS Rotaract Club organized a Webinar on 26th November 2020 on the topic “Leadership and change in time of Covid-19” in Google Meet Platform.The event was graced by the presence of Rotarian P.P.Anbarasu, DRR, Rotary club of Green Galaxy as chief guest.In his address he briefly explained the Leadership Qualities like Honesty and integrity, Confidence, Inspire Others, Commitment and Passion, Good Communicator, Decision Making , Capabilities, Accountability, Delegation and Empowerment ,Creativity and Innovation, Emotional Intelligence, Humility and Transparency. He also explained about an innovative leader is not a creative genius with thought-provoking ideas but gives others the freedom to develop their ideas. He concluded with the self-confidence is found abundantly amidst true leaders; hence they know about their competencies and leadership qualities. Around 120 students actively participated and get benefited.
